Senior Developer / AI Engineer

Edinburgh or Glasgow (hybrid - 2 days in the office)

We’re partnering with a client who has been building a brand-new AI capability from the ground up over the last 18 months. As such, a rare opportunity to join this team has arisen as they expand.

You'll be shaping how AI is applied across a large, technically advanced enterprise environment. You’ll be delivering production-grade solutions across complex, high-impact projects from GenAI features and automation through to scalable, secure systems. Expect real technical depth, not just experimentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Technologies

From a tech perspective, you’ll be working across:

  • Microsoft Azure (including AI services / Foundry)
  • .NET and modern backend engineering
  • APIs, microservices and DevOps practices
  • GenAI / LLM tooling (RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search)

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving challenging problems and building robust, real-world systems in a fast-moving space, all within a high-calibre team. It is critical that you have a foundational background in .NET software development to be considered for this role and a minimum of 12 months in a role focused on AI enablement - not just using AI as a coding tool.
