Help Shape the Future of AI in National Security
This isn't another Machine Learning role focused on optimising click-through rates, ad performance or customer recommendations.
This is an opportunity to apply Machine Learning, Generative AI and advanced analytics to some of the most complex and meaningful challenges in the UK. Working within a specialist National Security AI team, you'll help develop cutting-edge solutions that directly support government, defence and security operations.
You'll be given the freedom to experiment, innovate and build production-ready AI systems while working alongside Data Scientists, Engineers and AI specialists on genuinely unique problems.
Why This Opportunity?
- The AI landscape is evolving rapidly, and few organisations are investing as heavily in applying Machine Learning and Generative AI to real-world operational challenges.
- You'll be joining a highly respected technical team that is actively shaping how AI is adopted across National Security environments, working with modern AWS infrastructure, MLOps tooling and next-generation LLM technologies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
