Senior AI Engineer
£90,000 - £120,000
London (3 days a week in office)

THE ROLE
As a Senior AI Engineer you will join a high-impact AI team focused on developing and deploying advanced generative AI solutions. Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

- Building and deploying LLM-powered applications from prototype through to production
- Fine-tuning large language models for specific use cases and content requirements
- Designing, curating, and managing datasets for model training and evaluation
- Developing and optimising Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Creating evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for AI model performance
- Implementing human-in-the-loop feedback systems to improve outputs
- Supporting AI-driven features such as summarisation, personalisation, and real-time content generation
- Exploring speech and audio technologies, including text-to-speech solutions
- Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and design teams to deliver innovative AI experiences
- Contributing to experiments involving multimodal AI across text, image, and audio
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Senior AI Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong commercial experience building LLM or NLP-based systems
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Cohere, Mistral, or Hugging Face
- Expertise in fine-tuning techniques, including supervised fine-tuning and prompt optimisation
- Strong understanding of RLHF, RLAIF, and preference modelling approaches
- Advanced Python development skills
- Experience with tools and frameworks such as LangChain and Hugging Face Transformers
- Familiarity with data tooling including Pandas, DVC, and Weights & Biases
- Experience evaluating model performance using both quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Knowledge of speech technologies, including speech-to-text and text-to-speech solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, experimental environment

BENEFITS

- Salary between £90,000 - £120,000 - depending on experience
