Senior AI Software Engineer – Full Stack / AI
I’m working with a growing AI business operating within financial services, and they’re looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to join a hands-on engineering team.
This is a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone who wants to work on AI that is already moving into production, rather than spending their time building demos or training models. You’ll be responsible for taking AI capabilities and turning them into reliable, scalable products that are used in real-world financial workflows.
You’ll work across the full stack, with a strong focus on AI engineering, backend development and cloud infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and shipping production AI products using LLMs, RAG and agentic workflows
- Designing AI integrations, prompts, orchestration and evaluation
- Building scalable APIs and event-driven services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Developing modern React applications
- Designing and deploying cloud-native systems across AWS
- Building monitoring, evaluation and observability around AI applications
- Improving the reliability, latency, cost and quality of production AI systems
- Owning features from initial design through to deployment and iteration
- Working closely with product and engineering teams and helping raise technical standards

What they’re looking for:
- Strong software engineering experience, ideally with production AI/LLM applications
- Excellent Node.js and TypeScript experience
- Strong hands-on React experience
- Experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering or agentic systems
- Strong AWS and cloud-native engineering experience
- Experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven and distributed systems
- A strong approach to clean code, testing and production engineering

Experience with tools such as LangGraph, Langfuse or NestJS would be useful, as would experience working within financial services or another regulated environment.
