Role: Senior AI Governance Consultant
Location: Bristol
Salary: £70,000 - £95,000
An experienced consulting professional to design and operationalise AI governance at scale across regulated and complex organisations.
Large multidisciplinary consulting firm operating across defence, government, financial services, life sciences and transport; global delivery footprint and multi-discipline project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies, controls and operating models across enterprise programmes.
- Conduct AI risk assessments, model governance reviews and algorithmic impact assessments for complex systems.
- Translate regulation and standards (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO) into pragmatic control sets and assurance activities.
- Facilitate governance forums, stakeholder workshops and senior executive briefings to embed decision rights and reporting lines.
- Support tooling selection and implementation for AI inventory, model risk, monitoring and GRC integration.

Candidate Profile:
- Consulting background with demonstrable delivery experience in AI governance, model risk, or responsible AI in regulated sectors.
- Solid understanding of ML/LLM lifecycle controls: validation, monitoring, explainability, data governance and human oversight.
- Experience applying regulatory frameworks and standards to large commercial or public-sector programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence legal, risk, security, data science and engineering leads.
- Comfortable operating on hybrid client engagements and delivering to executive audiences.
