Full-Time Contractor (12-month contract)

Please note that this is a Full-Time Contractor (12-month contract): you’ll have the flexibility to work remotely, with the option to join us in the office whenever you’d like!

About the Role

We are seeking an AI Product Designer (Contractor) that would be designing the AI parts of what our creators use. The work you ship here reaches all of them within weeks.

A lot of this has no established pattern yet. You would be one of the people working it out, on a product people already use every day. Generative creation, agentic workflows, video generation, and the surfaces where creation and automation meet are all moving at once, and video is a big part of where we are heading. Your role might also develop over time, to keep up with the change. You would own how the system behaves, creation experiences across web and mobile and the connections between them.

Design is three disciplines at Picsart: Product Design, User Research and UX Writing. You would work alongside actual researchers and writers, with engineering and product partners who want you in the problem early rather than at the handoff.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Prototyping and testing quickly with a mix of design, AI and code-based tools.
  • Getting real prototypes in front of creators early, because a static frame cannot tell you how a generative experience feels.
  • Using research and data to keep the work tied to how creators actually create.
  • Working with product, engineering, data science, growth and marketing on the same problems from the start.
  • Shaping how a creator's assets and outputs get surfaced and reused through search, recommendations and automation.
  • Working in Cascade, our design system. Use it, push on it, and add to it when this work outgrows what is there.
  • Helping define what good looks like for AI-native design here, for you and for the people around you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Bring

  • The craft you built in traditional design work, carried into the AI workflow. Typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, motion, states, edge cases. Speed from AI tools does not change that bar, and we would love to see how you hold it when the output is generated.
  • 5+ years designing consumer-facing products, ideally SaaS, creative tools or productivity platforms.
  • Experience designing complex systems and workflows such as content platforms, dashboards, automation tools or multi-surface ecosystems, and the systems thinking to design past individual screens.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted design workflows and rapid prototyping.
  • Familiarity with front-end code or code-based prototyping, including vibe coding. We would like to see something you built that way.
  • Judgement about when a system should suggest, draft, act, or stop and ask.
  • Experience improving key flows such as activation, retention and engagement.
  • Strong communication. You can explain a decision and take a challenge to it.
  • A portfolio showing end-to-end thinking and work that moved something.

Good To Have

  • Designing AI-powered features such as generation, search, recommendations, auto-tagging or smart organisation.
  • Video or content-production workflows.
  • File systems, cloud storage or asset management tools.
  • An interest in AI-native experiences that go past the UI patterns we all have today.
  • Motion and animation craft.
