Senior AI Product Owner (Domain Lead)

London - hybrid 3x a week
Up to £85,000 + Car Allowance + Up to 20% Bonus

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing AI Centre of Excellence at a pivotal stage of its AI transformation journey. Sitting at the intersection of product, AI, commercial strategy and delivery, you will help shape and scale AI solutions that drive measurable business impact across multiple functions. If you enjoy variety, influencing senior stakeholders and bringing AI products from concept to adoption, this role offers exceptional breadth and visibility.

They are a large, customer-focused organisation investing significantly in artificial intelligence to improve both customer and colleague experiences. Their AI Centre of Excellence works across the business to identify, develop and scale AI opportunities that create commercial value. With a growing portfolio of AI initiatives already underway, they are focused on moving successful concepts into production and delivering measurable outcomes. This is a highly collaborative environment where AI, product and business teams work closely together to accelerate innovation.

The Role

As a Senior AI Product Owner, you will own a portfolio of AI opportunities across key commercial domains, helping stakeholders identify where AI can create value and ensuring solutions are successfully delivered and adopted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and prioritising AI opportunities across commercial business functions.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to understand problems, define outcomes and shape AI use cases.
  • Leading discovery activities, workshops and problem-framing sessions.
  • Building and managing a prioritised portfolio of AI initiatives.
  • Taking AI solutions from ideation through proof of concept, production and adoption.
  • Defining value hypotheses, success measures and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborating with AI specialists, technical teams and delivery functions to achieve outcomes.
  • Supporting the evaluation, selection and configuration of AI solutions where appropriate.
  • Coordinating user testing, gathering feedback and driving continuous improvement.
  • Leading adoption planning, including training, communications and process change.
  • Tracking usage, benefits realisation and commercial impact following deployment.
  • Ensuring initiatives align with security, privacy, compliance and responsible AI requirements.
  • Acting as the primary link between business stakeholders and the AI Centre of Excellence.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in product environments, with 3+ years specifically on AI solutions.
  • Strong product management, product ownership, or transformation experience.
  • Practical experience working with AI or Generative AI solutions in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to identify, shape and prioritise AI opportunities based on business value.
  • Strong understanding of AI and GenAI capabilities, limitations and implementation considerations.
  • Experience taking digital, automation or AI initiatives beyond experimentation and into adoption.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an outcomes-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience defining success metrics and using data to measure impact.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence a range of audiences.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, privacy and governance considerations.
