AI Scheduling Team Leader
Summary
You will lead a team of 5, focused on driving improvements in planning, forecasting, resource optimisation, and operational efficiency within the area of AI. You will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the team, whilst working with key stakeholders to deliver solutions, enhance decision-making, and support business growth. You will be responsible for championing innovation, embedding continuous improvement across the tech scheduling team.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and manage AI scheduling and resource planning activities, ensuring effective utilisation, development, and deployment of Trainers to meet business demand.
- Oversee the optimisation of Trainer schedules through data-driven forecasting, workforce planning, and intelligent resource allocation.
- Lead the planning and provision of appropriate cover for Trainers in demand through predictive scheduling and capacity management.
- Manage and enhance the onboarding process for new AI Trainers, leveraging insights to identify suitable mentors, learning pathways, and development opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop the scheduling team, promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to support the successful delivery of training and workforce planning objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data quality, and enhance scheduling efficiency.
- Produce and interpret performance, utilisation, forecasting, and operational reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
Your Experience/Skills
- Must have excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, work methodically, accurately, and effectively under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
- Logical thinker who is willing to own and solve problems with the determination to find solutions.
- Knowledge of training / scheduling.
- Confident, extremely proactive, and clear communication.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Works collaboratively and listens to and follows instructions to the highest level of accuracy.
- Be prepared to attend face-to-face meetings when required.
- Must be prepared to work outside of business hours when required.
