About The Role

The Senior AI Specialist at CGI plays a pivotal role in helping clients harness the power of artificial intelligence to solve complex business challenges, accelerate innovation, and generate lasting value. This position involves working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to identify AI opportunities, develop strategies, and lead the end-to-end delivery of impactful AI solutions. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence AI adoption across various sectors, contribute to high-profile projects, and continuously develop technical and strategic expertise in a collaborative environment. The Senior AI Specialist will leverage cutting-edge AI techniques such as Machine Learning, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision to design scalable, secure, and effective solutions that enhance decision-making, optimize operations, and improve customer engagement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in delivering AI solutions within a commercial setting, demonstrating a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen. Essential qualifications include a solid understanding of modern AI techniques, software engineering practices, and cloud-based AI services. Candidates should be proficient in Python and familiar with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, scikit-learn, or LangChain. Experience with deploying AI models into production environments, data engineering principles, and MLOps practices is crucial. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, or Google Cloud AI Platform, is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with clients to understand their business challenges and identify AI opportunities that deliver measurable outcomes
  • Developing AI strategies, roadmaps, and solution designs aligned with client objectives
  • Leading the delivery of AI solutions from proof of concept through to deployment and optimization
  • Designing, building, and implementing solutions involving Machine Learning, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, and Advanced Analytics
  • Conducting experimentation and model evaluation to validate approaches
  • Translating technical outputs into clear business insights
  • Ensuring AI solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with governance standards
  • Applying software engineering and MLOps practices to support robust AI delivery
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Mentoring colleagues within the AI Practice
  • Contributing to business development activities by providing technical expertise for proposals and client discussions
  • Staying informed about emerging AI technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement
