About the Role
We are looking for a Senior AI Transformation Manager who can bridge the gap between engineering, AI, project delivery and commercial growth. This is not a purely technical engineering role. We’re looking for someone who understands technology deeply but can also work confidently across different functions, bring multiple teams and stakeholders together, manage external AI partners, and translate complex technical capabilities into practical business solutions.
You will act as a project management engineer, taking ownership of AI transformation initiatives from initial concept through to implementation. You’ll work across teams including marketing, workforce and other business functions, ensuring AI solutions are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
Alongside delivery, you will have a commercial presence, supporting client conversations, identifying opportunities and helping shape proposals and solutions that can win new business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end AI transformation projects, from discovery and solution design through to implementation and optimisation.
- Work closely with engineering, product, marketing, workforce and other functional teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve processes, productivity and business outcomes.
- Translate business challenges into practical AI and technology solutions.
- Coordinate multiple internal teams, senior stakeholders and external AI/technology partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Act as the key link between technical teams and business stakeholders, making complex technical concepts accessible and actionable.
- Manage project scope, timelines, priorities, dependencies, risks and deliverables.
- Evaluate and coordinate external AI partners, vendors and technology solutions where appropriate.
- Develop frameworks and processes for adopting and scaling AI across different business functions.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve efficiency and introduce new AI-enabled capabilities.
- Stay close to emerging AI technologies, tools and best practices, assessing their potential commercial and operational applications.
- Support client and prospect conversations, bringing technical credibility and commercial awareness to the discussion.
- Help identify new business opportunities and translate client challenges into AI transformation propositions.
- Work with commercial and leadership teams to develop proposals, solutions and pitches that demonstrate clear business value.
- Support the growth and expansion of existing client relationships through innovative AI solutions.
- Measure and communicate the impact of AI transformation initiatives through clear KPIs and business outcomes.

What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical engineering qualification.
- Demonstrable coding/programming ability and hands-on technical experience.
- Experience managing complex technology, engineering, AI or digital transformation projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams, stakeholders and workstreams.
- Practical understanding of AI technologies, automation and emerging AI tools.
- Ability to move comfortably between technical discussions and business/commercial conversations.
- Experience working with external technology vendors, partners or consultants.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

The Person
We’re looking for someone who is technically credible but commercially minded — someone who can understand the code and the technology but also understands the people, processes and business problems behind them. You should be:
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable moving between different projects, teams and functional areas.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to bring people together around a common objective.
- Comfortable working across marketing, workforce, operations and other business functions rather than operating within a single technical silo.
- A strong problem solver who can navigate ambiguity and find practical solutions.
- Commercially aware and confident contributing to client conversations, proposals and new business opportunities.
- Curious about emerging AI technology and able to assess what is genuinely valuable versus what is simply hype.
- Comfortable challenging existing processes and finding smarter, more efficient ways of working.
- An excellent communicator who can influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on and delivery-focused, with the ability to move from strategy into execution.

You will be successful if you can bring together the right people, technology and partners to deliver transformation projects, while simultaneously helping the business identify new opportunities and demonstrate how AI can create measurable value for clients.
