Senior AI/ML Engineer (Computer Vision) – Contract – Hybrid (UK)
We’re looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to support the development and deployment of advanced computer vision and deep learning technologies for demanding real-world applications.
This is a hands-on engineering role sitting between AI research and production delivery. You’ll design and optimise computer vision models, build scalable ML pipelines, and turn emerging research into robust systems capable of deployment across edge and cloud environments.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong commercial AI / Machine Learning engineering experience
- Expert Python development skills
- Strong practical experience with PyTorch; TensorFlow also beneficial
- Excellent understanding of modern Computer Vision and Deep Learning
- Experience with CNNs and Vision Transformer architectures
- Experience designing, training, validating, and optimising neural networks
- Ability to translate research and experimental models into production-quality software
- Experience building ML training, evaluation, and inference pipelines
- Strong software engineering practices including Git, testing, code review, and CI/CD

- Object detection, tracking, segmentation, or pose estimation
- Edge AI and real-time inference
- GPU optimisation and inference acceleration
- Multi-modal perception systems
- MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, or Kubeflow
- Synthetic data and simulation environments
- Aerial, satellite, or ISR imagery experience
- Defence, government, or other mission-critical AI experience
- Exposure to neuroscience-inspired AI or Spiking Neural Networks
