Job Title: Senior AI/Power Platform Engineer
Location: Leeds, UK (Hybrid, 2 times a week)
Employment Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Main Purpose of Job:
We are seeking an experienced Senior AI/Power Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of intelligent automation solutions across the organization. The role will leverage Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services, and workflow automation technologies to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer and colleague experiences, and accelerate digital transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and delivery squads to identify automation opportunities, establish best practices, and deliver scalable AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
AI & Intelligent Automation
- Design and deliver enterprise-grade AI and intelligent automation solutions.
- Evaluate and implement AI technologies that drive operational efficiencies and business value.
- Develop AI-powered assistants, copilots, and conversational solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Identify opportunities to automate complex business processes using AI and machine learning capabilities.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives to demonstrate emerging AI capabilities.

Power Platform & Power Automate
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using:
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Power BI
- Microsoft Dataverse
- Workflow automation
- Create automated workflows to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
- Build reusable automation templates and frameworks.
- Establish governance, standards, and development best practices across the Power Platform estate.
- Monitor and optimise automation performance, reliability, and scalability.
Microsoft Copilot & Generative AI
- Design and implement Microsoft Copilot solutions for business users.
- Develop custom Copilot experiences and AI assistants.
- Integrate Copilot capabilities with enterprise systems and business processes.
- Build prompt engineering standards and AI governance controls.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted working practices across technology and business teams.
Integration & Solution Architecture
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with:
- Azure Services
- Microsoft 365
- CRM platforms
- Internal business applications
- Develop APIs and connectors to support automation requirements.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Support solution design reviews and technical governance activities.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Essential
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong experience developing enterprise solutions using Power Automate.
- Experience implementing workflow and process automation solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI technologies.
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
- Experience integrating Power Platform with enterprise applications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience operating within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience designing scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
