Client:
Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor Telecom Company, requires a Contract Senior Analog/RF IC Design Engineer for a 6-month daily rate role based in Farnborough, Hampshire, England.
Recent RF IC design experience in CMOS, AMS simulator experience, and Cadence simulator experience are mandatory for this role.
100% Remote working is available for the right candidate!
Role:
You will take on verification of full Rx and Tx chains of an ongoing design. They will help setup and debug simulation testbenches, report compliance to spec, and validate device register controls for test.

Responsibilities:
- LTE Tx and Rx chains from RF LNA inputs to analogue IF outputs in TSMC 22 ULL
- Simulate functional and performance of the chains between analogue IF and RF ports
- This is Pre-silicon simulation
- For the simulation and verification Cadence ADE XL/Maestro and Spectre HB simulators tools are used
- Recent RF IC design experience in CMOS, AMS simulator and Cadence simulator are mandatory
- You don't need to be able to build from scratch, but should be able to debug test bench issues
- If the candidate is a pure simulation verification engineer this would be acceptable as long as they can debug test bench issues and has a good knowledge of the simulator and understands RF performance metrics
- AMS sims with Verilog/VerilogA are used for register/control validation

Key Tasks:
- Review of block specifications.
- Simulation and reporting compliance to specifications.
- Root cause any specification failures.
- Liaising with the chip lead to integrate the designs.
- Presentation of design for block-level reviews.
