Senior Analog IC Design Engineer - Semiconductor - Reading, UK
An innovative semiconductor company is seeking a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to join its expanding IC design team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of advanced analog and mixed-signal IC development, designing next-generation semiconductor solutions for consumer, automotive, healthcare and power management applications from concept through to silicon.
What you'll do as a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer:
- Design and develop advanced analog and mixed-signal IC solutions from architecture through transistor-level implementation, verification and production.
- Design key analog building blocks including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, oscillators, LDOs, DC/DC converters, op-amps and analog front ends.
- Perform system and behavioural modelling using industry-standard simulation tools.
- Drive transistor-level CMOS circuit design, simulation and optimisation for low-power, high-performance applications.
- Support layout implementation, post-layout verification and silicon validation activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the full IC development lifecycle.

What you'll bring as a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer:
- Degree (BSc, MEng, MSc or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in analog or mixed-signal CMOS IC design within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong expertise in transistor-level analog design and low-power CMOS circuit development.
- Experience designing one or more of the following: ADCs, DACs, PLLs, oscillators, LDOs, DC/DC converters, op-amps or analog front ends.
- Experience with analog simulation, verification and post-layout validation.
- Hands-on laboratory experience supporting silicon bring-up, characterisation and debug.
- Knowledge of behavioural modelling and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl or Perl would be advantageous.
