An exciting opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a leading international insurance organisation as a Senior Analyst focused on accounting & regulatory policy. This role offers exposure to complex accounting matters, regulatory reporting, policy development, M&A activity, and governance projects within a high-performing finance function.
Your new role
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the development and implementation of accounting and regulatory policies across the organisation.
- Assess the impact of new accounting standards and regulatory changes, producing technical papers and analysis.
- Prepare complex accounting position papers and technical calculations.
- Assist with acquisition accounting and M&A-related reporting activities.
- Produce legal entity reporting and board reporting packs.
- Prepare regulatory and statistical returns.
- Support governance, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Contribute to regulatory oversight and resilience activities.

What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 1 year PQE.
- Experience within insurance, financial services, or a highly regulated environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with exposure to UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience drafting policies, procedures, or technical accounting papers.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
