We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our team full-time in London. Our consulting business focusses on both the delivery of projects to meet clients’ needs, and the development of repeatable propositions to take to market. We are growing quickly as a business and are looking for an individual with 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally in a consulting or healthcare analytics background who can integrate quickly into our team and support the growth of our consulting business.

Key skills and competencies we are looking for include:
- Passion for working in healthcare, and experience of having done so;
- Technical skills and experience, such as data economics, statistics, coding, data science or modelling;
- Passion for working with people, experience in managing clients and analysts;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, across a diverse range of areas;
- Enthusiasm for working closely with our clients and partner organisations as well as with other members of the Edge team.
What's it like to work at Edge?
The role is a mix of hands-on analysis and project delivery. As a Senior Analyst you run projects day to day and help oversee analysts and engineers, supported by a project manager and led by a Director. You'll still spend much of your time in the detail: coding in SQL, R or Python, building models, and working out what the results mean for the client.

The work is varied and often starts with a question rather than a prescribed method. We might be helping an NHS team understand pressures on a service, evaluating the economics of a new intervention, or building a tool that lets a client answer the question themselves. Because consulting, economics, data science and engineering sit closely together, people can move between these kinds of problems.
We are also small enough for people to shape what Edge does. Senior Analysts contribute to bids and scoping, help develop new propositions, and support the development of the wider team. We set aside two training days each quarter, and recent internal development time has produced new public tools as well as client propositions.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities within this role include:
- Project delivery: Taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects, overseeing analysts/engineers and overseen by Consultant or Senior Consultant and led by a Director;
- Applying technical & industry expertise: Bringing economics, modelling and/or healthcare experience to deliver high-quality outputs for our clients;
- Planning/project management: Converting client asks into actionable and realistic project plans, including technical details of required solution. Executing said plan with regular client and stakeholder engagement;
- Innovation: Proactively learning from past projects and experiences to build and develop new propositions for use within the health sector and improving the way we use data;
- Business development: Supporting the wider growth of Edge, through development of marketing material and team training and development;
- Leadership: Leading small teams/individuals and supporting in the technical/personal development of individuals;
- Contributing to our sales pipeline: Contributing to writing scope documents, bidding material and responses to tender requests.

- Be highly motivated, self-driven and versatile, and excited to work within a small and growing team;
- Technical skills in the fields of data science, economics, engineering or statistics developed either through academia or professional experience;
- Have the ability to engage effectively and enjoyably with a range of people, and to communicate impactfully the findings and implications of their work;
- Have knowledge and experience working with data, with strong skills in languages such as SQL, R and Python;
- 2-4 years of professional experience, working in a healthcare, consulting, research, modelling, product or related setting;
- Have experience of delivering projects and outputs to tight timescales and to a high quality; including delegating work to more junior team members, planning and scoping;
- Take proactive responsibility for personal development, and the development of individuals and teams around them.
