Pension Insurance Corporation (“PIC”) provides secure retirement incomes through comprehensive risk management and excellence in asset and liability management, as well as exceptional customer service. Our purpose is to pay the pensions of our current and future policyholders.
PIC is recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join its Origination department, which is responsible for supporting the new business team across a variety of operational areas to enable the team to focus on pricing, winning, reinsuring, and executing new business transactions.
About the Role
The role is very varied on a day-to-day basis, and any given day can include things like:
- Working with our third-party providers (e.g. actuarial cashflow providers)
- Reporting to regulatory bodies
- Managing ad-hoc projects
- Liaising with other PIC teams (e.g. Finance, Investments)
- Fulfilling governance and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing team resourcing and training needs
You will be reporting to the Origination Office Business Manager and will also be working with the Head of Origination Office, Origination leadership, and other members of the team, as required. As a PIC employee, a key purpose of the role is contributing to the delivery of strong business outcomes, the Company brand and market reputation whilst achieving positive outcomes to our policyholders and shareholders, on a consistent basis.
Specific Accountabilities
- Drafting meeting agendas, managing small forums and producing minutes of the meeting to capture salient points and track actions.
- Supporting colleagues and business managers in the preparation of documentation for various internal or external meetings in line with relevant processes and internal governance.
- Developing, monitoring and critically assessing MI and reporting to support the effective management of the Origination team.
- Ownership of smaller projects including preparing high-level plans, documenting actions and risks, communicating these to the relevant colleagues and managing those projects to successful completion.
- Submitting information into appropriate systems and processes in a timely and accurate manner and to agreed deadlines.
- Demonstrating knowledge and competence in their learning and exposure to tasks and internal/external meetings, through curious questioning and undertaking self-led research and learning into business concepts and terminology, as appropriate.

Knowledge
- IT proficiency – knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Data entry and process management – accessing and reviewing written documentation, spreadsheets and databases containing sensitive, commercial information
- Digital communication tools – using email, calendars, and collaboration platforms
- Strong numeracy and literacy
- Pensions knowledge preferred, but not essential
