Senior Analyst - Data Integration & Metadata Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Analyst - Data Integration & Metadata Engineering to support enterprise-scale data integration initiatives across governance, analytics, and operational platforms. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who excels at extracting metadata from diverse source systems, transforming it into target-system formats, and enabling reliable, scalable data movement across the organization's technology landscape. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and supporting API-driven integrations, metadata mappings, and data quality processes while collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support metadata extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple source and target systems.
  • Analyze source-system structures and map metadata to target platform requirements and governance standards.
  • Develop and maintain scalable API-based integrations and data transformation workflows.
  • Work with large-scale datasets and integration pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define metadata requirements, mappings, and validation rules.
  • Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot data quality, reconciliation, and data flow issues.
  • Implement robust error-handling and exception-management processes across integration solutions.
  • Contribute to data governance, metadata management, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and reusable integration patterns.

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Proven experience extracting metadata from source systems and transforming it to meet target-system requirements.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Cosmos DB
    • Snowflake
    • MuleSoft
  • Experience designing and supporting API-based integrations at enterprise scale.
  • Strong expertise in data mapping, transformation, and integration architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and event streaming technologies.
  • Experience implementing data quality controls, reconciliation processes, and error-handling frameworks.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and metadata management practices.

Additional Desired Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to AI FinOps concepts and frameworks.
  • Understanding of governance-focused metadata models and data cataloging approaches.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms and modern data ecosystems.
