Octavius Finance, a specialist recruiter within financial markets, is working with a leading boutique asset manager seeking to hire a Senior Investment Analyst into its Emerging Markets Corporate Credit team.
This role sits within the investment team and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Portfolio Managers across a specialist Emerging Markets corporate bond strategy. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting fundamental credit research, generating investment ideas and supporting portfolio construction across a high-conviction investment approach.
The strategy invests across Emerging Markets corporate bonds, with a focus on bottom-up fundamental analysis and identifying attractive risk-adjusted opportunities across global issuers. The successful candidate will have broad exposure across regions, sectors and credit profiles, contributing directly to investment decisions within a collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious credit investor with 3-8 years’ experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility within a specialist investment platform. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their investment expertise, contribute meaningfully to the investment process and work alongside highly experienced investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting fundamental credit research across Emerging Markets corporate bond issuers.
- Analysing company financials, capital structures, business models and industry dynamics.
- Generating differentiated investment ideas and presenting recommendations to Portfolio Managers.
- Assessing credit risks, valuation opportunities and investment catalysts.
- Monitoring existing portfolio holdings and identifying new investment opportunities.
- Building and maintaining detailed financial models and credit research frameworks.
- Producing investment notes, issuer updates and thematic research.
- Working closely with Portfolio Managers throughout the investment process.

Role Requirements
- 3-8 years’ experience within a buy-side Emerging Markets corporate credit investment role.
- Experience gained within a boutique asset manager, hedge fund or specialist credit investment platform.
- Strong fundamental credit analysis skills with experience covering Emerging Markets corporate issuers.
- Demonstrable experience analysing High Yield and/or Investment Grade corporate bonds.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies and credit markets.
- Ability to generate independent investment views and communicate ideas clearly.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work effectively within a lean investment team.
