Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner, UK&I

Title and Summary

The Mastercard Europe Finance team are currently hiring a strong candidate to support the UK & Ireland division at MasterCard. The financial analyst plays a key role in assessing the financial impact of Strategic and market development activities for the division and as important financial advisor and business partner. This role will report to the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Baltics Divisional Finance officer and will be in charge of accounting, P&L and all related finance tasks for the division. The Senior Analyst should be strong in accounting, excel, and overall financial analytics.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure Finance is at all times closely integrated with, and positively supports the business providing necessary information to maximize revenue, profitability and efficiency.
  • Help management to achieve financial results, highlighting risks & opportunities and providing recommendation/ guidance for business to take appropriate business decision. Develop and produce regular reporting to update management on financial and business performance.
  • Assist in preparation of annual, monthly and quarterly forecasting/budgeting and variance analysis.
  • Responsible for assessment of new customer account deals, pricing opportunities, and new market development opportunities.
  • Assess and reviewing financial impact of new Customer Business Agreements (CBA) with Account managers. Build pipeline of CBA opportunities and review deal performance.
  • Act as a Business partner interacting with management team, account managers, marketing, services, and central Europe finance team.
  • Provide measurable input into key Finance processes and activities (eg FP&A, Controller's group, Pricing, Business Planning, and BDF) and act as a change agent to better these processes.

About You

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong Planning and Analytical skills with an eye for details.
  • PC literate with an excellent knowledge of Excel; knowledge of Oracle and OFA is a plus.
  • Good verbal and writing skills.
  • Some knowledge of financial services and/or payment industry.
  • Team player, analytical, results driven, flexible and adaptable.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and deadlines.
