The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's eHealth Operations service as a Senior Analyst within the Identity and Access Management Team. This is a key role supporting the timely, accurate and secure provision of user access across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical systems used throughout the Board.
The postholder will oversee user account creation, access provisioning and associated administration processes, ensuring requests are managed efficiently and in line with audit, information governance, cyber security and compliance requirements. The role also includes providing day-to-day support, guidance and workload allocation for a small team of administrators, acting as an escalation point for complex access and provisioning issues. In addition, the successful candidate will support the introduction and development of Robotic Process Automation (RPA), helping to improve access provisioning processes through increased efficiency, consistency and control.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. - 36 Hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm)
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Manage and oversee user account creation, amendment and access provisioning activities across supported applications and services, ensuring all Identity and Access Management requests are processed accurately, securely and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain compliance with audit, cyber security, information governance and operational procedures.
- Provide technical guidance, workload allocation and day-to-day supervision for administrators within the team.
- Act as an escalation point for complex access and provisioning issues.
- Contribute to service continuity, digital projects, improvement initiatives and Board-wide transformation programmes where Identity and Access Management expertise is required.
- Support the maintenance of procedures, documentation and service standards to ensure a consistent and effective service.

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required to Do the Job
- Experience in IT administration, user access management or service support within a busy operational environment.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles and access provisioning processes.
- Understanding of audit requirements, information governance and cyber security controls.
- Experience of application administration and user account management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience of NHS systems and services would be advantageous.
- Awareness or experience of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and process improvement initiatives would be beneficial.
