Senior Analyst (Operational Performance)
As a Senior Analyst you are responsible for leading and developing the Operational Performance Analytics team, responsible for the ownership, development, automation and delivery of all operational performance reporting and insight across Costa Equity stores.

What you’ll do
Being a Senior Analyst is about so much more than bringing our coffee to the world. It’s your chance to stir up real success - which means you’ll be:
- Lead and own the operational performance reporting framework, delivering accurate, insight-led reporting across key operational KPIs and establishing a single source of truth to support data-driven decision making.
- Provide timely performance insights across productivity, efficiency, customer experience, compliance and emerging priorities, enabling operational leaders to drive continuous improvement and business performance.
- Develop automated, scalable reporting and analytics using Python, Power BI, SQL and AI, partnering with Data & BI to improve data quality, accessibility and speed of insight.
- Simplify and redesign reporting processes to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy and support efficient, insight-led business growth.
- Convert operational data into proactive insight, identifying trends, risks and performance drivers to inform priorities and decision-making.
- Deliver root cause analysis, strategic reviews and actionable recommendations that drive measurable operational improvement.
- Analyse operational performance, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, and measure the impact of solutions against agreed business outcomes.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities through performance analysis, benchmarking and KPI development, helping evolve operational measurement frameworks and support future business needs.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Operational Performance Analysts.

Who you are
It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in:
- Strong knowledge of operational performance management, advanced reporting, data analytics and KPI frameworks within multi-site retail environments.
- Commercially focused with a deep understanding of retail operations, business performance drivers and insight-led decision making.
- Advanced Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python and data visualisation expertise, with strong analytical, leadership and stakeholder influencing skills to translate complex data into actionable insights and drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience leading reporting, analytics and business intelligence functions, delivering KPI-driven insight, automation and measurable business performance improvements.
- Skilled in developing teams, leveraging Power BI, SQL, Python and advanced analytics, and influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
- Ideally strong knowledge of Costa operational standards, labour and workforce planning, customer experience measurement, and brand and operational audit frameworks.
- Experience of AI-enabled analytics, data engineering, project management and predictive modelling to drive insight-led decision making and business performance.
- Experience across multi-site retail, hospitality and franchise environments, supporting operational transformation and building analytics capability through organisational change.
