Overview of the role
BWHC is on a significant data and insight transformation journey, and this Senior Analyst - Retail role will play a critical part in shaping how we leverage data across the business. The successful candidate will help build the insight capability, mindset, and stakeholder confidence needed to use data more effectively and drive meaningful, measurable change at scale.
This is a senior commercial role at the centre of retail decision-making. Acting as an Insights and Analytics Business Partner to our retail team, you will turn complex data into clear, actionable insight that improves performance and supports strategic decision-making.
The role requires strong retail experience, excellent commercial judgement, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders through insight. You will combine analytical rigour, BI expertise, and a consultative approach to identify opportunities, challenge thinking, and drive change through data.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the senior insight partner to key retail stakeholders, translating business questions into analysis that supports commercial and operational decisions
- Lead the development of dashboards, reports, and visualisations that provide clear, timely, and decision-ready insight
- Use data to identify opportunities, shape recommendations, and influence stakeholders to take action and improve performance
- Partner with senior leaders across retail, trading, operations, finance, and marketing to align analytics to business priorities
- Define meaningful KPIs and performance measures that support trading decisions, business reviews, and strategic planning
- Gather and shape data and insight requirements from key retail stakeholders, ensuring the business has an always-on data and insight partner who proactively identifies opportunities, supports prioritisation, and helps drive change through data
- Prioritise key insight opportunities and develop scalable data products that turn BWHC’s data assets into actionable insight, measurable value, and sustained business impact

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
