Role Summary

Drives the operation and execution of transactional global payments to and from Expedia Group and on its financial platforms, including but not limited to roles within Corporate Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement Ops, and Partner Payment Operations & Services. Works across organizations and Lines of Business (LoB) to resolve financial transaction or system issues, and communicate internally and externally at all levels. Supports team leadership, escalations, and reporting functionality.

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years with Associate's Degree
  • 3+ years with Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years with Master's Degree

Or:

  • 6-8 years applicable experience = Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years applicable experience = Master's Degree

Bachelor's / Master's Degree or equivalent experience

Role Expectations

  • Demonstrates complete comprehension of the uses and applications of the organization's financial systems, databases, and management reporting systems, providing oversight as needed.
  • Understands the pros and cons of using different systems and determines which systems are appropriate for conducting various analyses.
  • Audits information output and confirms the accuracy of data and analytics using a variety of financial systems, as appropriate.
  • Leads complex information management/sharing processes across the organization, ensuring requests are received and responses are provided accurately and timely.
  • Ensures the team is fully trained on company policies related to confidential information and that all data privacy guidelines are followed when the team is distributing information.
  • Leads the development of team processes and protocols for information storage, archiving, and disposal to meet future information management needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Coaches others on and ensures compliance with current information storage, archiving, and disposal protocols and processes; may recommend process improvements.
  • Initiates and supports activities and projects that address gaps in business goals and lead to improved business unit/function performance.
  • Shows enthusiasm and inspires peers to tackle challenges and deliver superior business unit/function results by displaying motivation, energy, and passion.
  • Contributes to an environment in which self-starters are recognized and rewarded across the business unit/function.
  • Balances short-term considerations with long-term goals and ensures that critical deliverables are met.
  • Manages multiple overlapping timelines and competing demands, weighing the needs of different stakeholders across the business to determine priorities, parallel projects, and sets priorities according to business needs.
  • Begins to assess market conditions, with the help of others, to determine priorities and level of investment; changes priorities as necessary to achieve short-term and long-term organizational success.
  • Creates measures to maximize resource utilization; builds reports and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Designs departmental improvements that impact the quality of products, services, and processes.
  • Serves as an expert in continuous improvement; develops department-wide measures to track improvements and monitor quality.
  • Executes on tasks with diligence and precision with minimal errors.
  • Identifies the interrelatedness of work activities across teams and recommends improvements to processes to increase effectiveness.
  • Leads implementation teams and ensures the successful execution of new ideas or approaches.
  • Compares overall business performance before and after large and complex process improvements to analyze the impact.
  • Diagnoses root cause and leads efforts to design and implement short-term resolution.
  • Possesses advanced data skills capable of utilizing advanced functions of tools to prepare analyses, answer questions, or solve for business needs.
  • Produces natural language interpretation of complex data analyses that informs and influences.
  • Ability to tease out new learnings from large scale data sets.
  • Creates complex visualizations of data that present actionable information to others.
  • Partners with Business Intelligence to productionalize identified opportunities.
