This role will research, analyse, and deliver high-quality propositions that provide advanced insight into market developments impacting customers in flexibility and generation markets. This includes leading complex research projects, interpreting data sets, and enhancing services to meet evolving customer needs, including improvements to coverage and digitalisation. The role also contributes to consultancy assignments and learning services delivery as required.
Working both independently and collaboratively, you will provide context, opinion, and strategic interpretation of industry developments, identifying implications for customers and supporting informed decision-making. You will clearly communicate insights with clear structure, logical storytelling and visual impact.
You will play a key role in upskilling and mentoring Analysts, sharing expertise and fostering knowledge development across the team.
The role involves proactive engagement with customers and industry stakeholders through knowledge-sharing activities such as presentations, forums, webinars, and learning services. You will collaborate with Go To Market teams to support renewals and growth opportunities, ensuring customer feedback informs service improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review advanced, high-quality subscription content, ensuring outputs identify the drivers of change, apply context and deliver actionable insights for customers.
- Lead complex research and analysis projects, including designing methodologies, validating data sources, and synthesising findings into clear outputs.
- Identify emerging trends and regulatory changes, assessing their implications for customers and communicating these effectively.
- Review and enhance product processes, with the aim of delivering improved efficiency, consistency and/or insights (e.g. through AI enablement, automation, digitalisation).
- Act as a subject matter expert for consultancy assignments, providing specialist input and supporting project delivery.
- Develop and deliver knowledge-based learning services, including updating materials and presenting sessions to internal and external audiences.
- Engage proactively with customers and industry stakeholders through webinars, forums, presentations, and one-to-one discussions to share insights and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with Go To Market and New Business teams to support renewals, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to key account management activities.
- Mentor Analysts, providing feedback, guidance, and structured knowledge-sharing sessions to support their development.
- Champion knowledge-sharing across teams, ensuring insights and learnings are disseminated effectively throughout the business.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, exploring new tools, techniques, and approaches to enhance research and delivery.
- Represent Cornwall Insight externally as a trusted source of expertise, maintaining professionalism and credibility in all interactions.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives to support wider business objectives.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Essential)

- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities (Essential)
- Proficiency in relevant digital tools and platforms (Essential)
- Experience in research and analysis within the energy sector (Essential)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent vocational experience (Essential)
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (Desirable)
