JOB TITLE: Senior Analyst - Workforce Planning

SALARY: £40,824pa to £49,000pa plus an extensive benefits package.

LOCATION: Edinburgh.

HOURS: Full Time.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

This is your chance to join the Workforce Planning team as Wealth & Investments embark on a huge transformation as we deliver our Customer Service Vision!

We're looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Workforce Planning team in Wealth & Investments (W&I) to support planning our operational, customer facing teams. You should be numerate, possess excellent accuracy and decision-making skills with a curiosity that drives the ability to think holistically and 'join the dots' across multiple channels and business areas.

Workforce Planning play an important role in supporting the delivery of the Group's purpose by ensuring the operational, customer facing teams have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, to deliver the best possible customer experience.

Our purpose is to influence efficient and effective customer experience through trusted judgement, analysis and insight. Building relationships with internal customers and colleagues (operational leadership / platform / finance / data and commercial teams) is key to our success along with the ability to ensure data driven forecasts and insights are accurate, clear and appropriate.

Taking your place in the team as a Senior Analyst, you'll be:

  • Leading meetings with various levels and groups of colleagues up to Head of Function level.
  • Identifying trends with and analysing data to provide recommendations (including both commercial and operational data).
  • Regularly engaging with partner teams to understand change and ambition for the business, alongside an understanding of the customer and economic landscape.
  • Completing 'what if' assessments to understand the impact of changing requirements upon the customer facing teams.
  • Understanding movements in operational FTE, joiner/movers/leavers, and the impact this has on cost, budget and service.
  • Supporting decision making for recruitment, multiskilling etc.
  • Looking for opportunities to enhance your own skills and knowledge within your team and the department.
  • Identifying areas of improvement to processes and service.
  • Owning specific tasks and take these through to completion.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years' experience of forecasting and capacity planning within a large organisation.
  • Ability to simplify and translate complex stories to engage a senior audience, both through written and verbal/face to face presentation.
  • Analytical curiosity (interpret data and provide recommendations).
  • Strong numeracy and data literacy skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills aligned to report production, model building and data analysis.
  • A problem-solving approach.
  • Great collaboration skills.
  • A positive and professional manner.
  • Drive, passion, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop.
