Senior Analyst – Pricing & Portfolio Analysis

About the Role

As a Senior Analyst at Nationwide, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our personal loans and credit cards strategy. Supporting over £4.5bn in unsecured lending, your work will drive informative, actionable insights from complex, high-volume datasets. With a focus on customer behaviour, commercial performance, and risk management, your contributions will ensure our financial solutions remain competitive, member-centric, and sustainable.

The ideal candidate thrives on uncovering trends, translating data into strategic narratives, and collaborating across teams to optimise our lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for the following core areas:

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse large, intricate datasets to identify performance trends, pricing anomalies, and customer behaviour shifts that impact risk and profitability.
  • Commercial Insight: Provide senior stakeholders with clear, compelling reports that inform pricing strategies, loan portfolio management, and product development.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with teams across risk, pricing, product, and regulation to balance our growth objectives against financial stability.
  • Risk & Performance: Assess and monitor portfolio health, ensuring robust risk modelling aligns with member needs and business goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine analytical methodologies, leveraging expertise in statistical analysis, econometrics, or advanced data tools (e.g., SAS, Python, R).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
