Senior Analyst/Associate – Secondaries Advisory

About Acanthus:

Acanthus is a well-established private markets intermediary with a focus on private equity fundraising and secondary market advisory within the lower and mid-market buyout space in Europe. The business was founded in 1998 and has since built its reputation as a leading and trusted advisor.

The role sits within the growing Secondaries Advisory division, which facilitates both vanilla LP portfolio sales and more complex GP-led transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to join the division at its inflexion point in what is a rapidly growing and evolving market. The successful candidate will benefit from on-the-job training and will become an integral part of the business, gaining significant exposure from day one.

Role overview:

We are seeking a hardworking, professional and commercially astute individual to join a growing and dynamic team. You will report to the Head of Secondaries and will gain direct exposure to all aspects of the transactions that we work on, and will take on responsibilities that you may otherwise not at a larger firm.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
