Associate / Senior Analyst — Real Estate Portfolio (Private Equity)
Our client is a well-established, family office backed, PE firm with a growing real estate portfolio and robust involvement across the deal landscape. As the business scales, they're looking to bring in a commercially sharp Associate/Senior Analyst to sit across the RE portfolio and support the wider investment team. The firm in question is agile and invests across both the "good book" and "distressed" market, offering a very versatile and attractive transactions environment.
This is a genuinely strategic role. You won't be buried in the weeds — you'll be using data to drive decisions, not just producing it. The team wants someone who can interrogate portfolio data, manipulate it with confidence (AI tools very much encouraged), and translate the output into commercial insight that shapes strategy at portfolio level.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning portfolio-level analysis across a c.£100m real estate book
- Building and refining data-driven insights to support investment and asset management decisions
- Getting involved in insolvency/retail turnaround situations alongside the core RE portfolio work
- Working closely with senior leadership, freeing them up to focus on strategy rather than detail
- Applying a genuinely commercial lens — this is about influencing decisions, not just reporting numbers
Requirements:
- RICS or ACA qualified, a few years post-qualification
- Real estate experience is important; advisory, insolvency/restructuring exposure would be a strong plus
- Backgrounds that'd be welcome: a top 10 accountancy firm, a restructuring/advisory background with genuine property exposure, or a junior from a property fund/asset manager
- Strong technical abilities, but commercially minded — sharp, curious, and able to see the bigger picture rather than just the spreadsheet
- Experience across the full deal/asset management life cycle.
