The Opportunity

Our client, a leading software company, is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join its established data team. You'll play a key role in delivering scalable, high-quality data products that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making across the organisation.

Working within a modern cloud data environment, you'll build trusted datasets, optimise data models, and enable stakeholders to gain meaningful insights from data. You'll own defined technical deliverables, translate business requirements into implementation plans, and deliver robust analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical data models and transformation pipelines.
  • Build clean, tested, documented, and scalable datasets for reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and optimise complex SQL transformations.
  • Gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Looker models, explores, and dashboards.
  • Implement data quality controls, testing frameworks, and monitoring processes.
  • Optimise data pipelines, warehouse performance, and reporting layers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure source data supports downstream requirements.
  • Manage delivery blockers and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Support adoption and enhancement of BI and analytics capabilities.
  • Contribute to AI-driven initiatives through data and automation technologies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
