The Role

Lead New Look's Range, Space, Price & Promotion analytics capability, creating a customer and commercially-led decision-making framework that improves revenue, margin, stock productivity and customer outcomes. The role is responsible for translating customer, product, pricing, store and trading data into actionable recommendations that influence range, pricing, promotional and store portfolio decisions across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership

  • Lead and mentor RSPP analytics professionals, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, commercial thinking and continuous improvement.

Analytics Strategy

  • Develop and execute the RSPP analytics strategy and roadmap aligned to commercial objectives, financial planning cycles and wider business priorities.
  • Ensure analytics is embedded within key commercial decision-making processes and prioritised according to business value, strategic importance and implementation feasibility.
  • Partner with Trading, Finance, Retail and Customer teams to establish RSPP as a recognised centre of excellence for commercial decision support.

Commercial Modelling

  • Lead the development of modelling frameworks that support pricing, promotional, range, space and trading decisions.
  • Ensure analytical outputs are translated into actionable recommendations and embedded within commercial planning, trading and investment decisions.
  • Quantify opportunities, risks and trade-offs to support the optimisation of revenue, margin, stock productivity and customer outcomes.

Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance through analytical insight, experimentation and modelling.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytical techniques including forecasting, optimisation, elasticity measurement and predictive modelling to support commercial decision-making.
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to scale high-value analytical solutions where appropriate.

Stakeholder Influence

  • Act as the senior analytical partner for RSPP-related decisions, influencing stakeholders across BMD, Trading, Finance, Retail Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Challenge assumptions using evidence-based recommendations and ensure analytical outputs are understood, adopted and translated into commercial action.

Governance & Quality

  • Define and maintain standards for data quality, analytical governance, measurement frameworks and modelling best practice.
  • Ensure analytical outputs are robust, reproducible and aligned to agreed business definitions, supporting consistent decision-making across the organisation.

Capability Building

  • Lead development of the RSPP analytical capability by coaching analysts, improving analytical maturity and embedding best practice across coding, documentation, storytelling and stakeholder management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and commercial thinking.

Who You Are

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, R or equivalent analytical tooling. (5+ years)
  • Strong modelling capability including forecasting, elasticity analysis, optimisation techniques and commercial modelling.
  • Proven delivery of complex retail analytics projects from conception to implementation.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and influence skills, including presenting recommendations to senior business leaders.
  • Deep understanding of retail commercial levers including pricing, promotions, margin, demand forecasting, ranging and stock productivity.
  • Experience leading analysts and developing analytical capability.
  • Knowledge of governance, model quality assurance and analytical best practices.
