The Role
Reporting into the Sales Director, you will take responsibility for developing and growing relationships with major UK grocery and national retail accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for an established National Account Manager who enjoys combining strategic account management with new business development and wants to play an important role in the continued growth of Blue Sky.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of major grocery and national retail accounts
- Building strategic customer plans to deliver sustainable sales growth
- Identifying new business, category, and licensing opportunities within existing and prospective customers
- Presenting new product ranges and licensed collections to buyers
- Working closely with our Design, Merchandising, Licensing, and Operations teams from initial concept through to retail launch
- Developing annual forecasts, budgets, and account plans
- Negotiating commercial terms and promotional opportunities
- Monitoring account performance and identifying opportunities for incremental growth
- Attending retailer meetings, trade shows, and licensor presentations where required
- Developing strong, long-term relationships with customers and internal teams

About You
We are looking for someone with experience managing top-tier national retail accounts, ideally within grocery, consumer products, gifting, stationery, toys, accessories, or a related FMCG/non-food category. Experience within the licensed consumer products industry would be a significant advantage, although it isn't essential.
You should have:
- Proven National Account Management experience with major UK retailers
- Experience managing significant commercial accounts and delivering sales growth
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Good Microsoft Excel and forecasting capabilities
- Confidence presenting ranges and commercial proposals to senior retail buyers
- A collaborative approach to working with creative, product, and operational teams
- The ability to identify and convert new commercial opportunities
- A full UK driving license

Location & Flexible Working
We are open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.
For candidates within practical commuting distance of our headquarters, the role will be predominantly office-based, allowing you to work closely with our Sales, Design, and Merchandising teams.
