Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London for a Senior Android Developer. The Senior Android Developer will design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications that integrate with Insightful Technology’s SaaS and data platforms. Responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements, implement features, and optimise performance.
- Writing clean, testable code, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring applications meet security, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Contributing to architectural decisions, mentoring less experienced developers, and staying current with emerging Android technologies and best practices.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience delivering production-grade Mobile Applications.
- Proficiency in Android Development and Android Design, including modern UI frameworks and design guidelines.
- Solid background in Software Development, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and testing.
- Experience integrating Android apps with RESTful APIs, cloud-based services, and secure data storage.
- Familiarity with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and common libraries and tools (e.g., Jetpack components, Gradle).
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Track record of mentoring or leading other developers and contributing to architecture and code quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
