Senior Android Engineer - Kotlin

Birmingham - 3 days onsite

Want to build an Android app at scale whilst helping shape the technical direction of a high-performing mobile team?

We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer to play a key role in the development of a market-leading mobile platform. You'll be hands-on with architecture, feature delivery and engineering best practices, whilst mentoring others and helping raise the bar across the wider mobile function.

Working closely with Product, Design and Engineering, you'll be involved from discovery through to delivery, ensuring high-quality solutions that provide genuine value to customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and delivering new Android features end-to-end
  • Driving architectural decisions and technical direction
  • Collaborating with Product and Design teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers
  • Championing engineering excellence, quality and continuous improvement
  • Leading technical discussions, solution design and workshops
  • Helping define and track engineering and quality metrics
  • Ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and secure

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
