NUH Life Fertility Service
NUH Life Fertility Service is a small but dedicated multidisciplinary team providing fertility care to both men and women in the East Midlands region.
We are looking for a Clinical Scientist in Andrology
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Scientist in Andrology to join our laboratory team, providing both diagnostic and therapeutic Andrology services to our patients and donors. We are exceptionally proud of our sperm donor bank which provides high-quality donor sperm across the UK, and we run a regional male fertility preservation service covering the East Midlands.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will already have a minimum of 3 years experience (with at least 1 year working at a senior level) in an Andrology service. You will have strong skills in male fertility preservation and ideally also in sperm donation programmes. However, if you do not have experience of sperm donation and are looking for an opportunity to gain skills and experience in this highly regulated and rewarding area of work, we will consider appointing candidates at a B6 level and provide comprehensive training in this area, so please do not be deterred from applying if you meet all other essential criteria.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
