Senior Android Developer – Drone Navigation & Control

This isn't a consumer Android role. We are looking for someone who can build the application that allows drone pilots to plan and execute autonomous flight missions used to inspect wind turbines across the world.

Your work will sit directly between flight control, geospatial intelligence, and real-world renewable-energy operations, shaping how critical infrastructure is inspected safely, efficiently, and at scale.

You will join a specialist drone-software team backed by one of the world’s largest renewable-energy businesses. The product is established, used in the field, and now entering its next stage of growth.

What you will own

  • Android applications used for drone navigation, mission planning, and flight control.
  • DJI Mobile SDK integration and comparable drone-control technologies.
  • Mapping, positioning, and geospatial features that turn a complex flight into a reliable field workflow.
  • Features from first technical discussion through to testing, release, and live use by pilots.
  • Practical support and problem-solving alongside the operations team when the product is being used in the field.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Why this is different

  • Your software will control physical systems, not just screens.
  • You will work with real pilots, real equipment, and immediate user feedback.
  • The work has a direct impact on wind-farm maintenance, turbine availability, and clean-energy generation.
  • You will have genuine product ownership, rather than being limited to a narrow feature area.
  • You will join a team where a practical, get-things-done mindset matters as much as technical depth.
