Our client, a best-in-class globally recognised strategic advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Applications Developer & Data Specialist to join their growing technology team.
This isn't a configure-and-maintain role. Reporting to the Group Head of Business Applications, you'll design, build, integrate, and support the business-critical applications and data platforms used every day by Finance, BI, Marketing, HR, and the wider ICT function. You'll architect complex solutions from scratch, own them end-to-end in production, and play a central part in the firm's drive to bring delivery in-house.
If you're an engineer who wants genuine ownership — the freedom to build properly, the trust to run what you build, and a direct line to the business you're building it for — this is a rare one.
Role Responsibilities
Application development & support
- Own core business applications including Dynamics 365 (Finance, CRM, Marketing), the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse), Microsoft Forms, and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Egnyte.
- Manage application environments for stability, performance, and scalability.
Integration & automation
- Architect and implement API integrations and automation workflows across the business — building complex solutions from scratch using C#, Azure, and modern integration patterns.
- Proactively identify and deliver automation and process-optimisation opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
