WRK digital are proud to be working with a market leading organisation, who are looking for someone that knows their Citrix from their VMware Horizon, can handle enterprise applications in Azure without breaking a sweat, and don't mind being the person everyone rings when things go sideways.
They're after a Senior IS Applications Specialist to take the technical lead within their IS Systems Team. This is a proper hands-on senior role where you'll be leading application deployment, supporting business critical systems, and helping shape the future of their application strategy.
You'll work across teams, suppliers, and projects to keep systems running smoothly and make sure applications are fit for purpose, secure, and delivering for the business. One minute you'll be sorting a high-level support issue, next you'll be leading a major application rollout worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
