Senior Applications Support Analyst
Salary: Up to £50,000
Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)
Term: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Applications Support Analyst to join a large national not-for-profit organisation known for its collaborative culture, strong benefits package, and commitment to internal career progression.
This role offers the opportunity to support an entire enterprise systems landscape, working across a range of business-critical applications. You'll work closely with technical teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with strong SQL skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering great service.
The Role
As a Senior Applications Support Analyst, you'll provide second and third-line support across a diverse enterprise applications estate, ensuring systems remain reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
You'll work closely with technical teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders across the organisation to resolve issues, support upgrades and releases, deliver service improvements, and ensure applications continue to perform effectively.
The team supports a broad range of enterprise applications covering housing operations, finance, HR, service management, repairs, and other business-critical functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how applications, data, integrations, and business processes work together across an entire organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide second and third-line support across a broad enterprise application landscape.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and system issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Support application upgrades, testing, releases, and change activity.
- Monitor application performance, availability, and service health.
- Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and technical issues.
- Work closely with third-party suppliers to manage and resolve application-related problems.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, support guides, and knowledge articles.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership teams.

You will likely have:
- Strong SQL skills, including querying, troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigation.
- Experience supporting an entire enterprise systems landscape within a medium to large organisation.
- A broad applications support background with exposure to multiple business functions and integrated systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior business leaders.
- Experience supporting SaaS, cloud-based, and hybrid application environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive resolutions.
- Experience supporting incidents, problems, changes, upgrades, and releases.
- The ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, business-friendly language.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within a not-for-profit, regulated, or customer-focused environment.
- Exposure to enterprise applications across finance, HR, housing, repairs, or service management functions.
- ITIL knowledge or certification.
- Experience working with application integrations and interconnected enterprise systems.
