Senior Application Support Engineer | 6–9 Month Contract

Location: London | Blue Fin | 5 days per week

Contract: £915–£1,100/day | Inside-IR35

Security Clearance: UKSV SC to start | DV pipeline required

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join a specialist Defence project in London.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical support background who enjoys working with complex systems, solving difficult problems and taking ownership of live environments.

You’ll be joining a small technical team supporting a critical application, with plenty of scope to get involved across infrastructure, application support, troubleshooting and technical improvements.

What’s on offer?

  • Contract initially running until 31/03/2027, with potential to extend
  • Work within a secure and technically complex Defence environment
  • Broad exposure across infrastructure, applications, networking and security technologies
  • A role with genuine technical ownership and autonomy
  • Opportunity to mentor and support other engineers
  • Regular involvement with clients and technical stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
