Senior Applied AI Engineer - London (Remote)

Competitive Salary + Excellent Package

AI Connect are partnering with a global brand to help them appoint an Applied AI Engineer to join a team building next generation customer facing ML & agentic applications.

You'll play a key role in taking cutting-edge Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI models from research into production. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, build and operate scalable AI systems that support millions of customer interactions.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build and deploy production-grade AI and Machine Learning systems.
  • Productionise ML, Deep Learning and Generative AI models developed by the Applied AI Research team.
  • Build scalable training, evaluation and inference pipelines to support the full AI lifecycle.
  • Develop APIs and software components that expose AI capabilities to enterprise applications.
  • Optimise AI systems for scalability, reliability, latency and operational performance.
  • Build robust monitoring, observability and operational tooling to support AI systems in production.
  • Contribute to engineering best practice across testing, automation, CI/CD and cloud deployments.

  • Strong software engineering background with advanced Python development skills.
  • Experience building and deploying Machine Learning or AI systems into production environments.
  • Experience building AI pipelines including model training, evaluation, deployment and inference.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, including containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud deployment practices (Git, Jenkins, Terraform or similar).
  • Experience monitoring and operating production AI systems.
