Gravitas is partnering with an innovative AI and machine learning consultancy that is helping organisations turn AI ambition into real-world, production-ready solutions.

Following continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Applied AI Engineer to join their engineering team and work across a range of cutting-edge AI, machine learning and generative AI projects. This is an opportunity to work directly with customers, shape technical solutions, and build scalable systems that deliver measurable business impact.

You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping through to deployment and optimisation of production-grade AI systems. Working alongside talented engineers and data specialists, you'll help customers solve complex challenges using modern AI technologies, while mentoring more junior team members and contributing to technical best practice.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working closely with clients to understand requirements and translate business challenges into technical solutions
  • Leading the delivery of key features and technical workstreams
  • Designing, building and deploying production-grade AI and machine learning systems
  • Developing applications powered by LLMs, RAG architectures, agents and modern AI tooling
  • Building scalable cloud-native platforms and MLOps capabilities
  • Implementing high-quality engineering practices including testing, observability, CI/CD and documentation
  • Contributing to architecture decisions and technical direction
  • Participating in sprint planning, retrospectives and code reviews
  • Coaching and mentoring engineers within the team
  • Supporting customer enablement and knowledge transfer activities
  • Contributing to internal R&D initiatives and helping evaluate emerging technologies

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
