Senior/Staff Applied AI Engineer

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, globally recognised technology business operating in the commerce and payments space. Trusted by some of the world's largest retailers and e-commerce platforms, they've spent over a decade building technology that solves hard problems at scale and have developed genuine credibility in their field.

What the role involves

  • You'll embed with teams across the non-technical side of the business and take ownership of their AI transformation; identifying where AI creates the most leverage, building solutions that change how those teams actually work, and measuring the impact over time.
  • You'll own each initiative end to end; running discovery with senior stakeholders, scoping and shipping solutions, driving adoption and iterating on what you learn.
  • Alongside the build work, you'll act as a trusted AI advisor to the leaders you work with, developing their capability and fluency as you go.
  • It's a role with real executive visibility, broad scope, and the kind of autonomy that's hard to find at an established business of this size.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
