Senior Authorised Person – High Voltage (Up to 33kV)

Permanent | Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join a growing High Voltage team, working across major construction, EV infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for the safe operation and delivery of HV systems up to 33kV, including:

  • HV switching, isolation, earthing, and energisation
  • Preparing and approving RAMS, switching schedules, and safety documentation
  • Managing HV permits and operational procedures
  • Overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Providing technical leadership to engineers and subcontractors
  • Liaising with DNOs, ICPs, NERS, clients, and principal contractors

About You

  • Minimum 3 years' HV connections experience on large construction sites
  • Proven SAP / Authorised Person experience up to 33kV
  • Strong knowledge of HV switching and safety procedures
  • Experience within DNO / ICP / NERS environments
  • Knowledge of EV charging and Solar Farm connections
  • Able to read HV single-line diagrams and technical drawings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
