Senior Architect / Architectural Technologist

At ctd Architects, an award-winning, design-led architectural practice based in Leek, Staffordshire, we're looking for an experienced Senior Architect or Architectural Technologist to join our growing team. We have an exciting pipeline of new and ongoing projects across a range of sectors, offering the opportunity to work on diverse, rewarding schemes from concept through to completion.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a key role in leading projects through the technical and construction stages. You'll be given responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

You will:

  • Lead projects through Building Regulations, Tender, and Construction stages.
  • Prepare technical and tender documentation and manage project delivery on site.
  • Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and collaborate with colleagues across the practice.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

About You

We're looking for a motivated and talented professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working collaboratively within a team environment.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience producing Building Regulations and tender packages.
  • Experience in administering construction contracts.
  • Proven site and construction-stage experience.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • BIM experience, preferably Autodesk Revit (training available if needed).
  • Healthcare sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location & Working Pattern

We offer a modern working arrangement, with the majority of work undertaken from our office in Leek, Staffordshire.
