About The Role

We are looking for talented Senior Architects to join our award-winning team in BDP's Manchester studio. We are currently working on a number of exciting, innovative projects, and previous experience in the education and residential sectors would be an advantage when making your application.

You will work on a range of stages of projects and have the opportunity to be client-facing from an early stage, make key design decisions, and take responsibility for driving high-quality concepts from inception through to completion. Reporting to the Studio's Architect Director, you'll work collaboratively and creatively within a team environment, developing design concepts and leading their delivery. You will mentor junior team members and take responsibility for their output, leading collaboration with other professionals and disciplines, both inside and outside the practice, to deliver highly coordinated solutions.

About Us

BDP is a leading, global, multidisciplinary design practice united by a shared purpose: to design a world that's built for good. For more than 60 years, we've been solving problems, creating innovative spaces, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, from homes and places to learn, to public spaces, long term sustainable placemaking and people at the heart of our thinking.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
