At Bryden Wood

We are expanding our London team to support the delivery of some of the world's most complex and ambitious projects for leading technology, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing and industrial clients.

We are looking for a talented Senior Architect

To join our multidisciplinary team working on Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing and Process Industry projects across Europe. This is an opportunity to contribute to some of the most complex and technically demanding facilities being delivered today, while helping clients accelerate their sustainability and decarbonisation ambitions.

As part of our London studio

You will act as a key architectural lead, collaborating closely with colleagues across Architecture, Process Engineering, Systemisation, Structures, Civils, MEP, Sustainability, Digital Design, and Project Management to deliver coordinated and innovative design solutions. You will play a critical role in guiding projects from concept through technical delivery, permitting, construction support, and client engagement, ensuring the highest standards of design quality and technical excellence.

Our projects sit at the intersection of architecture, engineering and process design. We believe the best outcomes are achieved through deep collaboration between disciplines, and we are looking for individuals who are excited by integrated design, technical excellence and the challenge of delivering facilities that support the transition to a lower-carbon future.

You will be fully integrated within our international design teams, collaborating closely with colleagues across Europe to deliver innovative, highly coordinated solutions for mission-critical and industrial environments.

The Role

As a Senior Architect, you will act as one of the architectural leads on major UK and European projects while contributing to the successful delivery of international programmes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive technical excellence, coordination, and project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design and technical delivery across all relevant project stages, from concept design through technical design, permitting, tender documentation, and construction support.
  • Lead architectural design of highly technical facilities including Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing and Process Plants, ensuring seamless integration between architectural, process, structural, mechanical and electrical requirements.
  • Act as a technical lead for complex projects, ensuring design intent is successfully translated into coordinated and deliverable technical solutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee architectural deliverables, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and client expectations.
  • Review and implement project-specific design strategies that respond to Italian and relevant international building regulations, codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Lead or coordinate statutory approvals, permit applications, and submissions to local authorities and professional bodies, ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the design process.
  • Manage multidisciplinary coordination with Structural, Civil, MEP, Sustainability, and specialist consultant teams to achieve fully integrated design solutions.
  • Oversee BIM-led design delivery, spatial coordination, technical detailing, and clash resolution processes across project teams.
  • Support project planning, resource allocation, programme management, risk mitigation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Architects and junior team members, supporting their professional development and technical growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and project teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical workshops, internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
