We're supporting a leading multidisciplinary design practice that is looking to appoint a Senior Architect to join its London team at an exciting point in its growth.
This is more than a conventional Senior Architect position. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing a brand-new internal department, helping to shape its direction, standards and approach while working on an exciting Central London office project.
The role would suit an experienced architect with a strong track record across Central London workplace and office projects, particularly someone who understands the complexities of both new-build and refurbishment.
The Opportunity
You’ll join at an early stage of the department's development, giving you the opportunity to have a genuine influence on how the team operates and the work it delivers.
Alongside the immediate project, you'll be involved in:
- Leading architectural design and delivery across a significant Central London office project
- Working across new-build and refurbishment projects within the commercial workplace sector
- Developing projects from concept through to technical design and construction
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
- Working closely with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
- Providing design leadership and technical oversight throughout the project
- Helping establish processes, standards and ways of working for the new department
- Supporting the development of the team as the department grows
- Contributing to the wider workplace offering and future project opportunities

About You
We're looking for an experienced Senior Architect with a strong understanding of the London commercial workplace market.
In particular, you'll need:
- Proven experience working on Central London office projects
- Strong experience across both new-build and refurbishment
- Experience taking projects through multiple RIBA stages, ideally through to construction
- Strong technical and design capability
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Confidence working directly with clients and project stakeholders
- The ability to lead, organise and support project teams
- A good understanding of the technical, planning and delivery complexities associated with Central London commercial projects
- Strong communication and presentation skills
