The UNUM Partnership

The UNUM Partnership are looking to reinforce their team at a senior level within our Glasgow based office, due to an expanding workload. The ideal candidate will be someone with the talent and a track record in the delivery of projects, job running and managing project teams and other team members.

Our current work-stream is full of exciting and unique projects as we continue to win high-profile projects nationwide. These include landmark hotels, golf clubhouses, events centres, care homes and one-off private houses in prime locations.

We pride ourselves on having longstanding relationships with our clients that include some of the UK's leading hotel operators and care operators.

We are looking for the right individual with the talent to help design, detail and deliver our growing workload. That individual will have with the appropriate skill-set, experience, and talent, who will work well within and become an integral part of our established ‘team’.

The Role Will Involve

  • Under the direction of directors, run projects from outline design through to completion including scheme design, detail design including production information, and involvement throughout construction phases. Managing the process and coordinating Consultants input.
  • Liaising regularly and building strong relationships with clients, contractors and the design team.
  • Understanding and implementing the technical standards for Scotland, and the English building regulations and liaising with local authorities.
  • Working as part of a team and directing junior team members in day-to-day activities.

Key Attributes

  • Have a proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Experience co-ordinating design teams through detailed design and the construction phase.
  • Strong graphic presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work individually and part of a team.
  • Experience in residential, care and hospitality sectors is preferred although not essential.
  • Proficient in Revit (preferrable), AutoCAD, Adobe suite, and Microsoft office software.
