Cross Works is looking for Senior Architects & Senior Urban Designers to join its team in London.
We are on the lookout for designers with 6+ years of experience, in Architecture and Urban Design roles, with very strong design capabilities. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and is able to work across multiple design projects / teams simultaneously.
We're a friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated collective, growing in order to meet an increased demand across a variety of sectors and geographies. We're currently working on a number of iconic projects internationally, spanning a diverse range of typologies and scales from mixed-use architectural projects through to large-scale / city-wide masterplanning schemes and megaprojects, to technology initiatives in the built environment.
Requirements
The following knowledge, capabilities, and experience will be required in order to be shortlisted for interview:
- Fully qualified architect or urban designer with a minimum of 6 years of demonstrable professional experience, post qualification (in practice)
- Exceptional design skills with experience in the management of large-scale international projects and a passion for cities and urban design
- A client-focused problem solver, with a propensity to work with clients to curate solutions that meet specific project requirements
- Excellent project leader with delegation skills, comfortable running a project (or projects) with minimal oversight
- Ability to use 3D software (proficiency in Rhino is absolutely essential for anyone applying for this role); strong parametric / computational capabilities are a bonus
- Expertise in BIM (for Senior Architects this is a must; less so for Senior Urban Designers)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with wider project teams and consultants
- Ability / interest in supporting Associates / Senior ADs / Directors with resource planning, business development & marketing activities when required
- Capability to travel nationally & internationally for key project meetings, site visits & presentations when required
- Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken is required)

Working Conditions
This position will require working in an office environment five days a week in London.
